Christopher joined the Group in 1999 originally as Financial Director and was appointed Managing Director in 2011.
Christopher takes an active role in the day to day financial aspects of the Group and also oversees some of the more permanent locations such as Mozambique, Cuba, Iraq and Kenya where he remains in contact with the key clients and operations.
Christopher has over 25 years in the shipping, and bulk handling industry. Prior to joining Nectar he was Financial Controller at EA Gibson, a 115 year old ship broking company offering global solutions for oil and dry bulk commodities.
Han joined the Group in 1999 and his main responsibilities are focused on the Operational and Terminal part of the Business. He has been instrumental in the Group’s expansion in Mozambique. In addition, Han also co-ordinates the Group’s consultancy service, directs the operations and technical departments, as well as developing the equipment maintenance services.
Han is the Executive Committee Chairman of the Dry Bulk Terminals Contact Group (DBTG) which provides a forum for the global dry bulk terminal industry and also serves as Chairman on the Council of the Ports and Terminals Group (PTG), who are the voice of the UK’s maritime engineering and business sector.
Han has extensive knowledge of shipping and dry bulk handling. Prior to joining Nectar he has spent 6 years at sea and held operational roles in a number of ship management and broking companies.
Guy joined the Group in 2003 and his main responsibilities are the Commercial and Business Development activities. Guy has responsibility for key markets in West Africa, notably Nigeria and Ghana and is also actively involved in developing new avenues of business and new regions where a presence can be established, as well as supporting the other members of the team in key permanent locations on a commercial basis.
Guy manages the commercial department and spends a significant amount of time visiting clients and seeking new opportunities.
Guy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), the leading professional body associated with logistics and transport.
Prior to joining Nectar, Guy spent 7 years with Mitsui OSK lines, a global shipping business, 3 of which he was stationed in Lagos, Nigeria.
Christopher has over 18 years' experience in the logistics field coming from a road, rail, and liner background including previous roles in both sales and operations.
Since 2010, when he joined the Group as Commercial Manager and head of the Nectar Commercial Team, he has been involved in a range of commercial activities from Sales to co-ordinating Monetization projects. Christopher spends a significant amount of time visiting clients and partners across the world.
In 2017, Christopher took on the role of Business Development Director, making him responsible for the development of new terminal projects, logistics and warehousing projects, and the handling of new business opportunities for the Group's current terminal portfolio.
Since 1997 Jane has been an integral part of global operations at Nectar. From the head office in the UK she leads the team that are responsible for co-ordinating projects around the world as far afield as Africa, South America and the Far East.
She is responsible for the day to day operations of the Group; from the logistics of Nectar personnel through to the analysing and reporting of operational figures.
Jane has a wealth of knowledge in her field with over 17 years of practical experience handling over 1,000 operations since starting at Nectar and has visited many of the locations where Nectar operate.
James began his career with Nectar Group in 2011, as a Commercial Executive. Since joining, he has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, making him a cherished asset to the Nectar team.
In June 2017, he took on the position of Commercial Manager, making him responsible for managing the Group’s daily commercial activities, and for the overseeing of the Marketing department.
James actively visits clients in Africa, The Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent.
Jean-Paul became a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in 2000 and joined Nectar shortly after in 2003.
In 2011 Jean-Paul was promoted to Financial Controller – taking responsibility for all of Nectar Group’s multifaceted accounts. He leads a strong accounts team who assist with the day to day accounting of the Group’s companies and ensure that the Group’s finances run smoothly.
Jean-Paul has an in-depth knowledge of the Maritime sector having travelled often to various parts of the world where Nectar operate and has much experience in International Finance.
