Nectar Group Proudly Supports Mental Health and International Men’s Day

A perfect time to have ever-important conversations. November 19th celebrates the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being. The theme for 2025 is “Celebrating men and boys.”

International Men’s Day encourages men to teach the boys in their lives the values, character and responsibilities of being a man.

Mahatma Gandhi said, “We must become the change we seek.” It is only when we all, both men and women, lead by example that we will create a fair and safe society that allows everyone the opportunity to prosper.

Be part of the conversation: Take this opportunity to be part of the global conversation about manhood, masculinity and men’s issues.

Did you know:

Men account for 69 per cent of all suicides. On average men are dying 4.5 years earlier than women – and for largely preventable reasons. Men are less likely to talk, share their feelings and suffer chronic mental health problems as a result.  Together we can acknowledge the contributions of men and boys, improve metal health, tackle discrimination and disadvantages, foster positive gender relations and make the world a safer place for all.

Where to start:

* Encouraging open conversations about masculinity and mental health
* Building environments where seeking help is welcomed
* Respecting emotional expression and wellbeing

International Men’s Day reminds us that these conversations aren’t just for the workplace, they’re vital in our homes and communities too. Together, we can create a culture where everyone feels empowered to thrive.

Let’s keep the conversation open, check in on the men in our lives, and remind each other that it’s okay to talk.
