As everyone is aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused untold disruption to the daily life of millions around the world and the global logistics chain has been heavily impacted. At Nectar we are acutely aware of our duty to act responsibly at this time. At any moment in time we have cargo handling operations in multiple locations and employ over 400 personnel. The safety of our personnel is our number one priority. However, we are also duty bound to minimise the disruption to our clients and we are continuously monitoring the situation in the individual countries where we work.
In our head office in the UK in line with our Government’s advice we are taking measures to limit human contact with the majority of staff due to work from home if not already doing so. We are closely monitoring the information provided by the relevant authorities. However, business communication will continue as normal with your usual contacts – please use mobile contacts and not the main UK office contact number. If there is any delay in replying, please bear with us and we will respond as soon as possible.
Globally, borders are closing and restrictions are increasingly being put in place. If you are expecting a shipment that you would like Nectar’s assistance with then we would appreciate as much notice as possible to ensure that we can mobilise a team and ensure that the necessary planning is in place well in advance. We will be doing everything possible in the circumstances to ensure you receive the usual high quality Nectar service. Obviously the situation is dynamic and we will update you in due course with any major changes.
