New HSE Champion – Senior Operations Supervisor, Abdul Aziz Ibrahim. Abdul is our current visible, on-the-ground leader for HSE; a team member who helps turn policies into everyday safe behaviours across our operations.
The HSE champion is the local voice that keeps safety, people and the environment at the heart of NSBT’s port performance.
NSBT’s HSE champions:
- Assist in promoting a safety-first mindset on the quayside, in warehouses, and offices as well as recognising good practice.
- Acts as a bridge between frontline teams and management, sharing risks and implementing practical solutions.
- Supports our toolbox talks, inductions and refresher training – this enables the team to understand procedures, PPE and safe systems of work.
- Helps monitor day-to-day operations and improvements.
- Champions environmental standards in all our port activity for optimum efficiency.
