NSBT joins other terminals around the globe on the finalist list for Best Dry Bulk Port. The winners will be announced on 17th November 2025 in Liverpool, England, the host city of the 2025 IBJ Awards.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗕𝗧: New 3rd Berth & Improvements
NSBT’s new 3rd berth in Sierra Leone is a critical piece of infrastructure which facilitates a larger class of vessel size to call at the Freetown terminal, accommodating vessels of 225 metres and 12 metres operational draught (design draft of 13m).
With the steady arrival of vessels this year, the new berth has increased capacity at the port by more than 30%, strengthening customer supply chains with enhanced global connectivity, increased reliability, and quicker turnaround times. Cargo movements have contained shipments of bagged rice, flour, crude oil and aggregates.

The team ensures smooth operations, from careful loading and unloading, minimising delays and ensuring the safe handling of all types of cargo.
