Port of Beira is known as the shortest, quickest and safest route to the sea from the South African hinterland. It is the primary gateway for all cargo moving to and from Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Eastern DRC.
In October 2023, the Cornelder de Moçambique marked the 25th anniversary of Cornelder’s management of the Port of Beira. Last year, CdM handled around 300,000 TEUs a year and its goal is to double this volume, to reach 700,000 TEUs in the next few years.
