Title: Sales Engineer
Sector: Dry Bulk Ports & Logistics
Location: Romford, Essex (with significant International Travel)
Position Type: Full Time/Permanent
Purpose
- To lead the sales and aftersales of Nectar’s range of bulk handling products
- To be the first point of contact for support and aftersales enquiries
- To develop maintenance contracts and plans for equipment sold to 3rd parties
Areas of Responsibility
- Generate high quality sale leads, in line with focused strategy
- Develop and maintain pricing records for the equipment range
- Create and maintain customer records and details in the CRM system
- Creating and issuing sales contracts
- Maintaining and developing relationships with the groups key suppliers
- Managing and coordinating the sales process from initial offer to final delivery and commissioning
- Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
- Understanding and assessing client needs to ensure delivery of cost effective proposals for suitable equipment
- Assist with customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive
- Create new sales that target B2B customers and positions our products as the best solutions to prospective clients
- Assisting with the management aftersales by creating key relationships and understand clients’ requirements
- Submitting aftersales quotations and following the order process through to the delivery
- Preparing tender submissions
- Competitor market research and reporting
- Travel to clients on a global scale as required as well as attending trade shows
- Developing long term maintenance contracts with clients for Nectar equipment
- Input and feedback regarding new equipment and/or development of new features
Qualifications & Experience
- HND in mechanical, electrical or process engineering

Experience (Preferred, but not essential)
- Familiar with bulk handling equipment
- Exposure to other cultures in either personal or professional capacit
- Port / Cargo handling experience
