Nectar Group attends UK–Francophone West & Central Africa Trade & Investment Forum (WCAF IV) in Lomé.
Led by the Republic of Togo and the UK Government, this year’s event (Nov 12-13) was hosted outside of the UK for the first time marking an important milestone in the evolution of UK-Francophone Africa trade relations. The highly vibrant forum served to demonstrate Togo’s emergence as a world-class host of inter-governmental and trade events. More than 1,500 delegates, partners and guests attended – far beyond than originally expected – making this the largest WCAF gathering so far.
Representing Nectar Group, Simon Broomfield took part in the event to foster strategic collaborations, forge new contacts, and explore opportunities across the ten growing economies represented.
Event Highlights Included:
* HE Faure Gnassingbé – The President of the Council of the Togolese Republic
* Representation from Togolese Government Ministers and Officials
* UK partners across UK Export Finance, Department for Business and Trade, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
* DMA Invest, delivery partners and sponsors
* The impressive delegations from across West & Central Africa and the UK who travelled to Lomé, a clear signal of the UK’s deepening commitment to African markets.
* High-level discussions and country sessions on growth sectors critical to sustainable development such as infrastructure, renewable energy, clean growth and digital transformation.
